Razaan's Experience as a Red Bull Student Marketeer

As a Student Marketeer for Red Bull, Razaan leverages customer insight, competitor analysis and product knowledge to lead marketing campaigns, drive business growth, improve brand strategy, and work towards operational business objectives.

Razaan has gained a variety of skills through her incredible job.

Having first-hand experience executing brand activations with Red Bull gives Razaan a holistic understanding of how integrated marketing campaigns work, creative ways to emotionally engage consumers, and how to align creative concepts with strategic objectives that deliver measurable outcomes.

Relationship Building & Collaboration

Razaan builds relationships with retailers to ensure Red Bull is optimally displayed and promoted in-store. She builds relationships with consumers to encourage product consumption. Razaan builds her network to source opportunities for Red Bull to be present at impactful third-party events.

Brand Activation Coordination & Creative Concept Development

Razaan plans, organises, and executes local brand activations in alignment with national campaigns. She tracks key engagement metrics to measure the outcomes of her missions. Multiple projects are handled at once in a fast-paced environment.

Social Media Marketing 

Razaan uses her social media platforms to create awareness of brand campaigns. She creates her own content, alongside using branded assets.

Red Bull Culture Clash

Razaan promoted and participated in a convoy which stopped at her university to advertise Red Bull's cultural marketing event, Culture Clash. After engaging with students about the convoy beforehand, thousands of cans and plentiful bulletins were sampled at LSBU within minutes. During the actual Culture Clash event, Razaan's roles ranged between event set-up, merchandising, and consumer engagement.

Securing Red Bull's Presence Within An Embassy

Razaan arranged Red Bull's presence at an elite social networking event, with attendees from top universities, which was hosted inside the Austrian embassy on Belgrave Square in London. Red Bull has strong links to the Austrian community due to the brand's heritage. Razaan led this partnership by working closely with the Marketing Officer for the event, negotiating deliverables to secure Red Bull's presence and ensuring the partnership ran smoothly.

Red Bull Basement

Razaan was tasked with signing students up to Red Bull Basement, a competition which encouraged students to generate business ideas. Proactively, she pitched the idea to relevant societies and networks, resulting in the competition being promoted by relevant third-parties online. She drove on-the-spot sign-ups at university, and promoted the campaign on her social media accounts. This resulted in her university having one of the highest sign-up rates in the country.

Red Bull Flight School

Recently, Razaan went on her second all-expenses-paid trip to Red Bull Flight School.

Razaan and her team covered essential training sessions to prepare for another year doing their absolute best in their roles. Sessions were presented by key figures such as the Marketing Director of Red Bull Damian Marshall, an inspiring Wings for Life Foundation Ambassador, and employees from teams Student Marketeers work with closely within the company.
